Surrounded by 1000 acres of natural bushland, Nundoobah Retreat derives its name from the abundant supply of native Grass Trees in the area. (Nundoobah meaning "Place of the Grass Tree" in the local Biripi language.)

There is a distinctly Aboriginal presence both in and around the cottages, illustrated through stunning Aboriginal carvings, paintings and sculptures.
